The Dungen Stage and area has long been Way Out West’s gathering point for innovative electronic dance music. The schedule is seamlessly programmed to run from open to close, and in previous years the stage have been blessed by greats such as Kerri Chandler, The Blessed Madonna, Barry Can’t Swim and Moodymann.
It has already been announced that German DJ Koze is one of the artists performing at this year’s edition, and today the program is expanded with eight additional acts – Kettama [IE], DJ Gigola [DE], DJ Boring [UK], Mohajer, Peder Mannerfelt, Killen (DJ set), Ash Lauryn [US], and S-candalo [DE]. Several more DJs will be added before the stage lineup is complete, but with this addition, the stage’s identity is beginning to take shape for 2026.
The Dungen stage is something of an antithesis to the larger dance music stages. The focus is on preserving an intimate atmosphere usually only found in clubs or at raves, and on bringing culturally relevant dance music into the festival setting. Anyone who has visited the Dungen area knows that it never looks the same from year to year, and the idea is for it to take on a life of its own in contrast to the other stages in the park. Today’s additions draw from some of the major trends on the European dance music scene, while more names are still to be added before the lineup is complete.
