Which ticket categories are available for purchase?
1-Day, 2-Day and 3-Day – Standard + VIP. Many ticket categories are already sold out for this year, and none of them will be restocked.
I’m under 18. Can I still buy a Standard ticket?
No, age verification is required when exchanging your ticket for a wristband.
I’m under 18. Can I attend with a Standard ticket if I’m accompanied by my legal guardian?
No, you must be 18 or older to use a Standard ticket, regardless of who you’re with.
Where do I buy tickets?
Tickets are available exclusively via Ticketmaster, the official ticketing partner of Way Out West.
What are the age limits at Way Out West?
The age limit at Way Out West is 13+ for Youth tickets, and 18+ for Standard tickets.
Government guidelines for sound levels in Sweden recommend that persons under 13 years of age should not be exposed to the high sound pressure levels that can be experienced at festivals and concerts. You must therefore be over 13 years of age to attend Way Out West (this includes toddlers with hearing protection too).
What stages do I have access to with a Youth ticket (13-17 years)?
All acts playing stages in Slottsskogen can be attended if you’re under 18 (that includes all acts in bold on our lineup). With a Youth ticket you can not access the Stay Out West program.

What is Stay Out West?
Stay Out West is Way Out Wests club program (age limit 18+) that opens up in different areas/clubs around Gothenburg when the festival area in Slottsskogen closes. If you are over 18, these gigs are included in the festival pass. You can not buy a single ticket for Stay Out West only. Stay Out West clubs have a limited capacity so please be there in time if there’s a specific act you want to see. In our app we continuously update if the clubs are full or not.

Can I volunteer at Way Out West?
Interest in volunteering at Way Out West 2026 has been very high, and all volunteer spots are currently filled. You’re still welcome to sign up for the waiting list, and we’ll get in touch if a spot becomes available.
What are the opening hours to the festival?
Thursday Aug 13: 14.00 – 00.00
Friday Aug 14: 12.00 – 01.00
Saturday Aug 15: 12.00 – 01.00
The Stay Out West clubs usually open around 22.00 and close around 03.00-04.00. The Exact times for each Stay Out West club will be announced closer to the festival.
When can I exchange my ticket for a wristband?
The wristband exchange is located at Linnéplatsen just outside the entrance and opens at 12.00 on Wednesday Aug 12. You can not pick up someone elses wristband, everyone has to do this personally. The wristband exchange is open every festival day until around 22.00.
Do you have lockers?
We have lockers both outside and inside of the festival area. Click HERE to pre-book a locker for your desired time period.
Can I bring a camera?
Photographing for publication (be it print, digital or any other professional context) is not allowed without authorization from the festival. No authorization is needed when photographing for private use. As a private person you are allowed to bring cameras and lenses with a zoom of up to 55mm. You are not allowed to bring extra gear such as tripods, battery grips, etc. and it is not allowed to use flash. Filming and recording are not allowed, though cellphones are, of course, permitted.
Can I bring my own food?
It’s not allowed to bring food into the festival area. However, smaller snacks such as fruit or bars are permitted.
Can I bring a water bottle?
You may bring an empty bottle that you can fill with water at the festival site.
Can I bring a bag?
Yes! The bag needs to be within the following measurements 40 x 40 x 20, and will be thoroughly searched upon entrance.
