Sweden’s biggest pop star right now is without a doubt Zara Larsson. The other day she broke a new attendance record at Malmö Arena, and yesterday she performed at a sold-out Scandinavium in Gothenburg. Today we can announce that there will be even more Gothenburg for Zara this summer – on Thursday, August 13, she’ll take the stage in Slottsskogen during Way Out West.
Despite her young age, Zara Larsson is nothing short of a veteran on both the Swedish and international pop scenes. It’s been a long time since she was described as a Swedish rising star. These days she’s a global force, a pop star who creates songs that define our time. The latest of these can be found on her fifth studio album, Midnight Sun, released in September this year. The album pulses with confidence, with stories full of truth and vulnerability, diving deep into Zara’s artistic development and journey during nearly 20 years in the spotlight. It’s an album unafraid to show all sides of the 27-year-old artist: in love, nostalgic, ambitious, bold, nonchalant, and insecure – often all at once. This summer, we look forward to presenting Zara Larsson’s only festival performance in Sweden at Way Out West!
