Nadim Ghazale came to Sweden as a refugee and became a police officer — and one of Sweden’s most powerful voices on belonging, racism and crime prevention. His memoir premieres as a play at Göteborgs Stadsteater on August 15th. But long before the uniform and the stage, there was the music.

In conversation with Soledad Piñero Misa, Nadim talks about hip hop, police and belonging — about what actually works for integration to grow and gang crime to fall in Sweden. A raw conversation, with concrete methods to create better futures.

Nadim Ghazale is head of operations at Nattvandring.nu, a former police officer, author and public speaker, known from Veckans brott, Min sanning and Förrädarna.
