Sailor Honeymoon was born as a collaboration between photographer Abi Raymaker (장인화) and techno DJ Zaeeun Shin (신재은). Their vision came to life during jam sessions with friends in a shared practice room, where their noisy, loose improvisations were fueled by chemistry – a small act of rebellion in a country where pop culture often encourages artists, and women in particular, to be flawless and pristine. The project’s spontaneous spirit has led Sailor Honeymoon to do things like swapping instruments mid-jam and inviting all their female fans onstage during shows, earning them a growing reputation within Seoul’s music scene. They released their debut EP, Sailor Honeymoon, on earlier this year, a fresh punk-rock record that draws on various punk subgenres while challenging the dominant perception of Korean music as K-pop. Don’t miss their Swedish debut at Stay Out West!

Sailor Honeymoon will perform at Stay Out West on Friday August 14th
