Hardly anyone could have missed Fanny Avonne lately. Her everyday, poetic brand of pop with touches of jazz, Swedish folk ballad tradition, and modern pop truly stands out. She first made her mark with the unmistakable chorus on last year’s massive hit “Tusen spänn” alongside Tjuvjakt, and then, with her EP “Växtvärk” released earlier this year, stepped forward as a fully realized artist with a versatile voice and genre-defying potential. It comes as little surprise that Fanny Avonne ended up pursuing music, considering she grew up in a family made up entirely of professional musicians. In a home where music was always present and songwriting was a constant companion, she developed her craft from an early age.
