Saint Etienne are one of the UK’s best loved and most treasured pop groups. Formed in 1990 by Croydon’s Bob Stanley and Pete Wiggs, Saint Etienne struck gold with their first single ‘Only Love Can Beak Your Heart’ a Neil Young cover version that quickly became a club anthem. Stanley and Wiggs were soon joined by lead singer Sarah Cracknell who made her debut on the group’s 1991 single ‘Nothing Can Stop Us’ and the same year’s Mercury Music Prize-nominated debut LP ‘Fox Base Alpha’.

The group’s recent album ‘International’ – their 13th, released in September 2025 – was rapturously received and saw them back in the UK top ten. The album will be their last one, as they are now calling it quits after 35 years of service. We are more than honoured to announce that their final Swedish festival show will take place at Way Out West on Saturday August 15.
