The Alchemist is one of the most prolific producers of his generation. His sample-heavy, soul-infused productions have been used by everyone from Freddie Gibbs to Nas and Earl Sweatshirt. He started out as a rapper in the duo The Whooliganz in the early ’90s before transitioning to production a few years later. Since then, he has released a wide range of both instrumental albums and collaborative projects, the latest being Mercy together with Armand Hammer. At Stay Out West, The Alchemist will perform on the same night and at the same venue as Earl Sweatshirt, making it one of the most exciting hip hop nights in the festival’s history. Don’t miss it!
