Sylvie’s Head have been set free. Emerging from the Gothenburg underground, the group channels the energy of warehouse raves, post-punk clubs and smoke-filled basement venues into a sound built on breakbeats, distorted guitars and hypnotic, dubbed out basslines. Their music draws as much from club culture as it does from rock’n’roll tradition. Echoes of acid house and forgotten rave tapes come together with sharp melodies and a sense of romantic disillusionment. Tracks unfold like nights out that refuse to end: euphoric, disorienting and occasionally destructive. There is always movement, but never comfort. Their debut album “Everything Is Free”, was released in May 2026. It captures Sylvie’s Head at their most ambitious. A soundtrack for everlasting nights, crowded dancefloors and the inevitable aftermath, it marks the definitive arrival of one of Sweden’s most distinctive new bands.
