With the album ’Blåbärskungen’, things fell into place for David Ritschard. Aftonbladet called it “Album of the Year,” and Dagens Nyheter described it as “borderline genius” but above all, something happened with the audience. What had once been the concern of a smaller circle of connoisseurs suddenly expanded in every direction. People of all ages and backgrounds flocked to the concerts and spread the word about the man from Björkhagen. His generous, sincere, humorous, and idiosyncratic personality was something people didn’t know they were missing but immediately embraced. On the follow-up, ’Detta har hänt’, David continued what he had started, while also inviting prominent guests to join him including Sebastian Murphy, Slowgold, and Lisa Ekdahl.
