Dream collab! Stadsmissionens second hand and Way Out West are joining forces to make this year’s festival merchandise circular! The merchandise collection, consisting of second hand garments collected by Stadsmissionens second hand, will be printed with unique prints in Slottsskogen during the festival on August 10-12. 

For those who want to contribute to the project – Stadsmissionens Second hand will collect previously loved garments at their stores in Gothenburg all summer, as well as during our Way Out West takeover at Göteborgs Jubileumsfestival this weekend! The garments will then be printed with various interpretations of the Way Out West logo, developed by creative designers – a collaboration with F/ACT movement and Borås Science Park. 

Even though there are numerous initiatives aimed at encouraging more people to choose second-hand and prolonging the lifespan of clothing and textiles, progress is slow. Through this collaboration, we aim to reduce our own emissions associated with merchandise, while also challenging the traditional perception of what festival merchandise can look like.

The profit from this year’s merchandise sales will go to Stadsmissionens second hand and their important work for a more humane, inclusive and sustainable society. <3
