Become a part of our new market!

What is festival merch? That’s a question we’ve been exploring for years, and the answer is constantly changing. This year, we’re inviting others to explore it together with us. For the first time, Way Out West is inviting creators of all kinds to be part of our new Market – a space where the Way Out West philosophy meets independent creativity. Over the course of three days in Slottsskogen, you’ll be able to sell your own self-produced Way Out West merch under our flag. It doesn’t matter what you create, as long as it’s made by you, sustainable and of high quality.

 

Preferably, you’re an established creator who knows what being part of a market requires. We love local so if you’re based in Gothenburg or nearby, that’s even better. In total, three creators will be chosen to participate in the market.

Thursday – 14:00–23:00

You need to have capacity to have your booth staffed during the entire festival

 

There is also an opportunity to sell you remaining goods in our web shop afterward. The seller is then responsible for all handling.

 

Stock:

The seller needs to take Way Out West’s audience numbers into account and, in consultation with us, determine stock capacity depending on the product type.

 

Theme:

Your own interpretation of Way Out West / festival merch / the future of Way Out West merch. It can really be anything as long as it’s bespoke for the festival! Give us your best ideas.

What we’re providing:

A small portion of sales will go to Way Out West to support the Market’s infrastructure, while the majority will remain with the seller. We will provide all sellers with a POS system, dedicated sales space, promotional support for your product, and packaging.

 

Staff, hotel, and transport are not included.

2. How to apply

1. Write a short text about your craft/business (max 500 words)

Give us an elevator pitch about what you do! It doesn’t matter if you’re already an established company or just creating things for fun at home. As long as you can fulfill the criteria above you’re welcome to apply.

 

2. Show us what you want to sell!

Share a prototype / image of what your idea consists of. We’re not expecting to see a fully realized product here, just some visuals or a mock-up to give us an idea of what you want to do.

 

3. Is there anything else we need to know?

 

We understand that selling products at a market comes with a lot of questions. Put your questions at the bottom of the email and state if you need replies before creating your prototype, or if they only apply in case you get selected to sell at the market. We’ll do our best to reply as soon as possible!
