Σtella’s artistic vision has long been to bring the Greek pop she grew up with into the present. Not by preserving it in amber, but by letting it breathe in new air. Across her work, featherlight percussion, contemporary production and a gentle wave of psychedelia meet melodies that feel both familiar and slightly out of time, shaped by an instinct for atmosphere and restraint that has become a signature of her songwriting. Since her 2015 debut, she has steadily refined that vision, turning it into a distinctive musical language that has made her one of modern Greece’s most compelling exports. Yet it is only now, on “Adagio” (2025), her second release on the illustrious Sub Pop label, that she begins to sing in her native Greek, folding her voice even more closely into the lineage that first inspired her. Written gradually over several years and shaped by a desire for stillness in an increasingly accelerated world, the album unfolds like a warm embrace: nylon-string guitars, staccato drums and softly glowing keyboards cradling songs that move at their own unhurried pace. At its heart, “Adagio” is a meditation on love, desire, rest and time, a record that leans into slowness and finds beauty in the space between motion and pause. This summer, Σtella brings that quietly radiant world to Way Out West.

Σtella will perform in Slottsskogen on Thursday August 13th
