Gorillaz have just finished their set with the absolute anthem Clint Eastwood, and there’s only one final Stay Out West night to go before Way Out West is over for this year. This year’s edition was special in many ways, not least because of how many of you joined us. For the first time in 19 years, Way Out West was completely sold out in every ticket category – a true milestone and a testament to the fact that we really do have the greatest audience in the world.
The highlights of this year were plenty. Johan Rockström opening the relaunched talks stage, Nick Cave and crew dancing at Azalea while watching The Cure, Zara Larsson’s only Swedish festival show (just wow!), Killen breaking the attendance record in Dungen, three weddings, the film premieres and launch of the Flamingo film awards, and of course, all those magical moments you’ve shared with each other that we don’t know about, but know you had.
Now, let’s look ahead. Way Out West returns to Slottsskogen on August 12–14 next year. A limited number of Blind Bird tickets for Way Out West 2027 are on sale now. Go get ’em while they’re still available, and let’s make next year’s edition just as banging as this one.
