After spending the 90s in the stoner rock underground, Queens of the Stone Age rose to notoriety with their break-through album ‘Rated R’ in 2000. While maintaining their Californian desert-vibes and their love for fuzzy, cyclical riffs, here we found the band expanding their musical horizons while creating a truly category-evading album. A success that wasn’t only matched, but even surpassed, on the Dave Grohl featured follow-up ‘Songs for the Deaf’ from 2002. Ever since then, Queens of the Stone Age has remained one the most influential and prolific heavy rock bands in the world and the only constant member – singer, guitarist and mastermind Josh Homme – shows no signs of slowing down.

After collaborating with British producer Mark Ronson on the experimental record ‘Villain’ in 2017, Queens of the Stone Age returned to their primitively intelligent rock on ‘In Times New Roman…’ earlier this year. Stripped from guests and external producers, Homme confronted his recent turmoil in a way perhaps best described as cathartic, dark and brutal. We welcome one of the world’s most renowned live acts to Way Out West 2024!
