Many artists attempt to capture teenage melancholy, but not many triumphs. The 22-year-old EKKSTACY belongs to those selected few. With 2021’s haunting track ‘i walk the earth all by myself’, the Canadian singer-songwriter managed to catch the attention of an entire generation, and since then, he hasn’t lost them. Earlier this year, EKKSTACY released his third full-length record ‘FOREVER’ which is packed with evocative dark pop, melancholic indie rock and, perhaps more than anything, raw emotions. And while EKKSTACY now primarily focuses on guitar-driven music, the influence of the SoundCloud rap he grew up with remains ever present.
