Adam Olenius, frontman of the acclaimed indie band Shout Out Louds, is now making his solo debut in Swedish with the single ’Lila regn’, taken from an upcoming solo album. ’Lila regn’ is a melancholic and cinematic portrayal of Stockholm, a story about being left behind and how bad news can both bring you down and give you strength. With its beautifully broken production and vulnerable delivery, the song feels like a short film about life in one’s hometown. The music of Olenius solo album is created with a sense of freedom and curiosity without the expectations that come with being part of an established band. In collaboration with Anders Stenberg of Deportees, Adam explores a new sonic world where contemporary, rhythmic, and atmospheric elements are allowed to shine. The result is something entirely different from what he’s done before.
