Welcome to Slottsskogen!
The world’s best festival site? Definitely one of them. Slottsskogen, the green heart of Gothenburg, is a lush, forested park in the centre of the city. This unique setting makes Way Out West the urban yet idyllic event that it is. With endless nooks and crannies to explore, there’s always something new to discover – from world-class acts and emerging artists to film premieres, outstanding vegetarian food and great places to hang out.
Here’s a brief introduction to some of the areas that make up the festival site.
Flamingo is one of our two main stages, located in the heart of the festival site.
Azalea is our other main stage, Flamingo’s twin, located directly opposite it on the same field, running back-to-back with Flamingo.
Located right by the lake, Linné is our tent stage. Known for its electric atmosphere and club-like feel, it’s a favourite spot for discovering new artists and catching memorable performances.
Höjden is located on a hill and was previously the place for WOW Talks. Since 2022, however, it has become a venue for exciting new acts. This area can get packed, so come well in advance if you want to see a popular show!
Dungen is our stage for everything dance related. Here you can see a wide range of DJ’s doing their thing seamlessly all day long. (Dungen Stage is a 18+ area)
