With the government’s reduced funding for study associations, thousands of young people in Sweden risk losing access to rehearsal spaces. These rehearsal spaces foster community, creativity, hope for the future, and are vital to the Swedish music scene.
To highlight the Swedish #replokalskrisen and celebrate the music that has emerged from accessible rehearsal rooms, Way Out West, together with ABF and Pustervik, invite you to a Pre-Party on Wednesday August 6.
As two established music platforms, Way Out West and Pustervik owe a great deal to ABF and all other study associations —who, by providing rehearsal spaces, have played a major role in the journeys of many of the artists who have performed at our stages.
Taking the stage are six bands from the Swedish indie scene — two of which currently have their rehearsal spaces at ABF in Gothenburg.
