Starting a band these days is nearly impossible and actually making good music once you’ve done it is even harder. But the Swedish quartet Girl Scout is happy to defy those odds. Since throwing down the gauntlet with their warmly received debut Real Life Human Garbage, the band has been compared to everyone from The Breeders to Snail Mail, while demonstrating a musical finesse that often surpasses them in crisp high resolution. Last year, they released EP number three ’Headache’, and this spring they released a collaborative single together with Terra. The future is surely looking bright for Girl Scout – catch them at Stay Out West!
