Another 12 titles confirmed for our film program!

Time to add some more amazing titles to this year’s film program! Another 12 more films, TV-series and documentaries join our film section. We’re delighted to host the nordic premiere of Jim Jarmusch new zombie movie THE DEAD DON’T DIE, presenting an amazing cast of stars; Adam Driver, Chloe Sevigny, Bill Murray, RZA, Tom Waits and many more. We’re confident that this will be a fantastic festival screening packed with surprises and we are very proud to present what is probably its first European screening since the red carpet premiere in Cannes.

One of this year’s most praised documentary films HAIL SATAN? tells us the story about the satanic movement, and we’re proud to tell that it will have its nordic premiere at Way Out West. The screening will be visited by some of the dark side’s most prominent persons. A must-see.

In collaboration with HBO Nordic we will also screen the first episode of their new series BEFOREIGNERS –a story about a phenomenon that brings people from the past back. The “beforeigners” come from three separate time periods: the Stone Age, the Viking era and late 19th century. The screening of BEFOREIGNERS will be the world premiere.

We’re also proud to host the Nordic premieres of the two UK fiction films BLINDED BY THE LIGHT by Gurinder Chadha and BEATS by Brian Welsh – both films by talented directors and widely awaited, and with a story about something we love dearly: music.

Another addition to the program is AND THEN WE DANCED, a fascinating love story by Swedish/Georgian director Levan Akin. The film was praised in Cannes and now gets its first big Swedish screening at Way Out West.
