We’re happy to announce this year’s Stay Out West venues! Apart from the classics, Bananpiren and Pustervik, we’ve added two new venues that have never been part of the program before.
Oceanen is a creative centre right at Stigbergstorget, across the street from legendary record store Bengans, who works to bridge social and cultural distances. It’s gives space to cultural workers of all forms, there’s also a restaurant (with an outdoor patio) and a venue that is focused on different kinds of independent music. Walking distance to the Way Out West area in Slottsskogen.
The same goes for Musikens Hus nearby. In the heart of Majorna you’ll find this musical and cultural platform with restaurant, cafe, rehearsal spaces, several stages and a larger concert hall for music from all over the world.
Bananpiren can now be regarded as a Way Out West classic, and will look a lot like previous years with its four stages. Here you’ll find a festival within a festival and a wonderful hub for people, party and different styles of music.
The same goes for Pustervik – Gothenburgs CBGB – which with it’s two stages is one of the best places in town to experience a live performance. Things change all the time, but Pustervik tends to stays the same, and that’s a good thing.
We’re also proud to announce 8 new names to the lineup. Please welcome Georgia [UK], Lauran Hibberd [UK], Linn Koch-Emmery, Nadia Tehran, Augustine, Morabeza Tobacco, Orville Peck [CAN] and Virigina and the Flood to this year’s festival.
