You probably remember the hit Touch from a few years back. Or the video to the very same song which features the British singer and various friends of different gender and ethnicities kissing each other. Following three years of silence, Shura returned this spring with the single BKLYNLDN. It’s her first for American indie label Secretly Canadian. In an interview with Elle, Shura said about her debut album Nothing’s Real: “I just want to go on a fucking cool adventure. I want to explore my boundaries, I want to push myself and go right to the edge of what I am capable of. I don’t want to ever be comfortable.”
We don’t know that much yet about the upcoming album Forevher, but judging by BKLYNLDN we should perhaps expect smooth, sensual pop with influences from r’n’b and electronica.
