In an attempt to explore her mind unaccompanied, Okay Kaya completely isolated herself for weeks when creating her latest album ‘SAP’. Juxtaposed to the rapidly rising number of writers behind contemporary hit music, the Norwegian-American musician and actress wrote, produced, performed, and engineered the entire record all by herself at first. In the end of this lonely process, she was longing to collaborate again and invited her friends to her studio to sing or play an instrument, reflecting Kaya back to herself from various angles. The outcome is a chaotic yet beautiful representation of her inner world and the unpredictable and playful arrangements follow her free-roaming thoughts on this truly original album.
