You can’t compete in creativity, but if you could, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard would thrash the competition. Since forming in 2010, the eccentric Melbourne sextet released no less than 20 studio albums, 14 live records and 3 EP’s. And given the massive breadth of their catalogue – including but not excluded to 60’s psychedelia, expansive jazz, thrash metal, folk and garage rock – King Gizzard’s might just be the only band you need. How they managed to do this while remaining one of the world’s most frequently touring band is beyond most people’s comprehension. On the other hand, that can be said about almost everything regarding this unconventional collective. During 2022 they released 5 (!) records so guessing what songs they will perform at Way Out West this summer is a tall order. What we do know is that King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard on stage is a mind-expanding, electrifying experience that you don’t want to miss.
