The undisputed heavyweight champion of Swedish music has done it all. Or close to it at least. And even though closing Way Out West happens to remain unchecked on Håkan Hellströms impeccable list of accolades, that defect that will finally be corrected next summer when Håkan will be crowning our festival with one his unanimously celebrated live shows. Expect Slottsskogen to be transformed into a Rock’n’roll church as Hellström, true to form, musters all the romance, passion, and fragility a person possibly can conjure. Last time Håkan Hellström sung his heart at Way Out West was 10 years ago in front of a mesmerized crowd and absolutely everything suggests that history will be written 2023.
