Fatima is a Swedish Soul/R&B star. People here might be sleeping on this, but fact still remains: Fatima is a renowned artist that made No. 10 in Rolling Stone Magazine Top 20 R&B albums of the year and was voted Album Of The Year at Gilles Peterson’s 2015 Worldwide Awards. An amazing singer that has collaborated with Floating Points, Dam Funk, Scoop DeVille and Flako and released music on prestigious labels such as Eglo Records and Blue Note. Fatima also happens to be a half-sister to the Swedish artist Seinabo Sey. What about the music? Erykah Badu, Solange Knowles, Angie Stone and Lauryn Hill are reoccurring references and although Fatima’s uniqueness is unquestionable, she like her equals operates in the borderland between jazz, soul, R&B and hip-hop. Everything glued together by her beautiful tone that seamlessly alters between the silky smooth and the scorching raw. Her latest, celebrated album And Yet It’s All Love was released in 2018 and this summer Fatima will takes her music to the stage at Way Out West.
