Every now and then an artist comes along that reinvigorates bluegrass. For a foreseeable future, that artist is Billy Strings. Equipped with a dazzling talent and hooks sharp enough to cut through most genres, the 30-year-old has managed to reintroduce American rural music to the broader masses. Growing up in a home struck by drugs and misery, the only thing that never betrayed Strings was the guitar – a loyalty he now repays with a sincerity and devotion that is impossible not to notice. With his punk-rock manners, his masterful technique, his captivating lyricism, and his wild improvisations Billy Strings has won celebrations all over the world and his second album ‘Home’ was awarded with a Grammy. In 2021 he shared his third studio album ‘Renewal’ and last year he dropped the Terry Barber collaboration ‘Me/And/Dad’. The force of nature that is Billy Strings and his touring band will be performing at Way Out West this summer!
Billy Strings will perform in Slottsskogen on Friday Aug 11. Buy your tickets HERE!
