Artists that are entirely unique while still maintaining a mass-appeal only appears once in a blue moon. Kate Bush and Björk are two examples, the Norwegian artist AURORA is another. The now 26-year-old generational talent has carefully created a fairylike otherworld populated by Nordic mythology, ecology and, not to forget, the singular entity that is AURORA herself. Sometimes calm and ethereal, other times untamed and high paced, the heartfelt music is as unpredictable as it is captivating. AURORA’s latest album, the stunning ‘The Gods We Can Touch’, was released in 2022 to wide critical acclaim and was followed by a big tour that included a sold-out Fryshuset in Stockholm.
