THE KNIFE

Since before the millennium, and even longer before that, the Dreijer/Dreijer Andersson siblings have served us echoing beats that awake us from within. Feeding us pulsations that elegantly stimulate our thirsty synapses, we found a pleasure to accompany us through the night. The Knife is without doubt the most alluring darkness we have allowed ourselves to be sucked into.

The few weeks left ahead until ”Shaking The Habitual” slips into our lives leaves us biting our nails in anticipation, and with Way Out West being The Knife’s only festival in Sweden we inhale with excitement and exhale with delight.

Before 2006, The Knife had never stood upon the stage. After 2006, The Knife was a band that people happily claimed to have witnessed, even if they never actually attended the ”Silent Shout” tour. Sold out and packed to the hilt at every given opportunity, is it so strange that our bodies contort with excitement on hearing that they will perform live with ”Shaking The Habitual”?
No.
Never.
Instead, a solid mark is made in your calendar.
