Behind the pseudonym Noname we find Fatimah Warner, poet and rapper. Her career started when she started to participate in different poetry slams around her native Chicago. In that sphere, she later encountered a young Chance the Rapper, whose Acid Rap mixtape she later helped finish by laying an amazing verse on the track Lost. Last year, she rolled out her debut mixtape Telefone to critical acclaim. By delivering hard-hitting political content with a smooth flow, Noname instantly made a name for herself as one of the most exciting young artists out there. No one sounds like Noname – and that’s a fact.
Earlier this year Noname teased a new project entitled Room 25. Whether this project is an album or something in a different format we don’t know yet, but regardless we can sure expect something out of the ordinary. Why? Currently, Noname hasn’t released anything even been slightly bad – something which can’t be said about many of the artists working today. Noname’s performance at Way Out West will be her first on Swedish soil.
