Hey, remember me? With that somewhat banal question Fever Ray begins her long-awaited comeback single To the Moon and Back. Regardless of when this question was asked, the answer would always be the same. An artist as unique as Fever Ray will never be forgotten. Never ever. After some year’s absence, Karin Dreijer and her Fever Ray released a new album entitled Plunge late last year. The album was the perfect follow-up to her debut album, and really circles what has made Fever Ray one of the most uncompromising artists of the current day. This spring Fever Ray embarks on a tour, which will contain her first (sold out, of course) gigs on Swedish soil since 2010, and this summer we are happy to announce that she will play Way Out West.
Karin Dreijer was once one part of the duo The Knife, and uses the moniker Fever Ray when she creates music on her own. Her debut album as Fever Ray was released 2009 and has since been regarded as a classic. Her new album Plunge has already made a major mark on the music scene, and has been nominated for the Nordic Music Prize as well as a Swedish Grammis for best album. Pitchfork named the album ”Best New Music” and regarded it as last year’s ninth best album.
