Beginning with the release of Arcade Fire’s astonishing first release Funeral, the world has become a slightly better place. With bombastic productions, danceable rhythms and an overall mightiness, Arcade Fire has become the kind of band you tend to return to – season after season, album after album. This summer the sextet released their fifth album Everything Now – a conceptual release that was received with full scores by both NME and The Independent. That Arcade Fire is a band in constant motion has been clear since the beginning, but one thing is actually the same year after year – their colorful, playful and all-mighty live performances. Arcade Fire remains something extra, and this summer’s performance will be their first in Sweden since 2014.
Arcade Fire was formed in 2001 in Montreal, and is driven by the couple Win Butler and Régine Chassange. Since their debut in 2004, they have become one of the bands that keep pushing indie rock forward, and all of their releases have been equally innovative.
