ALABAMA SHAKES

Coming from their namesake state, Alabama, the quartet Alabama Shakes formed in 2009. Hyped amongst the blogs, their haunting sound prompted interest to converge en mass. With no hesitation in living up to the hopes pinned on them, their debut album Boys & Girls, released in early 2012 on the label Rough Trade, offers soul-rock at its best. Continuing to prove that they are not to be overlooked, Alabama Shakes received three nominations for the 2013 Grammy awards.

With vocals that lull you and pull you in like a wave rising and falling, you are wedged between the crescendos and crashes of loves and losses.
